"the new handheld computing category the iPhone has occupied alone." Did you use two tin cans and a length of fishing wire to communicate before Apple came along to advance you out of the 19th century?

Palm Treo
HTC Mogul
HTC Touch Pro
Motorolla Q and its successor
Blackberry EVERYTHING
Nokia E71

Gosh I could go on and on. I think maybe you have no idea how to use a web browser and one day accidentally set your homepage to Apple.com. Maybe that would explain why you're clueless about every other technology innovation that has ever come to market. Get some credibility, Mossberg.
